A dokkaebi appears on the night road, challenges you to wrestle, and pays its debt when it loses. Fierce, funny, exact. That tension became the rule for this collection: folklore without costume, luxury without polish, and a contract that keeps its word.
I found these stories as an outsider and built the collection from that honest position: curious, careful, and unwilling to flatten Korean spirits into familiar monsters.
